We all love Christmas, don’t we? It’s a perfect chance to relax with your family and friends, enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and have some fun. Of course, you can have fun all year round at Spitalfields E1, but we have a special place in our heart for Christmas.

Whether it’s our shops featuring some incredible gift ideas, or our restaurants and food trucks, we genuinely believe there is no better place to enjoy Christmas in London. But don’t just take our word for it, if you’re looking for things to do in London at Christmas, take a look at some of the festive goings-on this Christmas…

The Mindful Drinking Christmas Festival:

Although Christmas is considered by many to be a boozy time of year, as some of the other suggestions on this list will attest, it doesn’t have to be. On 24th and 25th November, we’ll be welcoming Club Soda at Spitalfields E1.

Come along to enjoy stand-up comedy, tutored tasting of some incredible alcohol-free cocktails, and an after-work party on Friday!

Giraffe – Turkey for Christmas or Turkish Christmas?

In Britain, the traditional Christmas meal is roast turkey, but this isn’t the case everywhere. Christmas is celebrated differently all around the world, by varying cultures and groups. If you’d like to try some of these alternative takes on Christmas, Giraffe has brought the best of world food to Spitalfields E1 this winter.

Why not try a Lamb Kibbeh? A Turkish classic featuring minced lamb, hummus, Zatar spice, peppers and a light salad. You can accompany it with a cocktail, especially during the Sunday – Friday happy hour!

Bedales Wines – Because wine not?

Many people would say that Christmas dinner should always be served with a good bottle of wine. And you’ll find nothing but very, very good bottles at Bedales Wines.

The Grocer – Casual, Conversational Christmas:

Looking to have a Christmas catch-up with friends? It’s a great time of year to sit down and chat with the people you care about, as everyone finally gets a breather in their busy lives! If you fancy a relaxed meal, there is no better place than The Grocer, the self-proclaimed home of warm, casual conversation.

Make sure you try out the new Reindeer Sharing Boards (no reindeer harmed in the making). Named after some of Santa’s legendary charges, these boards are substantial enough to feed 5-6 people, or provide canapés for 10.

If you’re a fish lover, try out Vixen, featuring beer-battered cod goujons, spicy squid rings, triple cooked chips, brown crab pate, tartar sauce and crusty bread.

Konditor  – Give the gift of gingerbread baking:

There’s a fine art to making Christmas cakes, gingerbread houses and countless other iconic festive treats. It’s a skill that isn’t too easy to learn but can be fantastic fun.

Fortunately, Konditor & Cook doesn’t keep its delicious baking knowledge a secret.
